The hidden gem of Cameroon

The hidden gem of Cameroon

Hello from Bangangte! Although we didn’t bike yet today, we really enjoyed our first full day in Cameroon. We planned a trip to the Ekom Nkam Waterfalls, and the view there was amazing.

This beautiful piece of nature is a true hidden gem, located in a valley complimented by lush vegetation all around. It’s almost unbelievable that only 1000 visitors a year hike their way to the 82m high falls! And although chances are small you already saw these falls in real life, you might have seen them on television. The jungle of Nkongsamba was the set of “Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Ape”.

After our visit to these marvellous falls, we drove to Bangangte, where the real adventure starts tomorrow. The gold sponsors, who left Brussels this morning, will join us tomorrow at the starting point of Bike For Africa 2018.
